Ultrasound-guided punch biopsy of the prostate
Ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy is an invasive diagnostic method, which is used in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer. It is performed under continuous ultrasound control. During the procedure, a biopsy needle removes pieces of prostate tissue through the rectum. These are then sent for a histopathological analysis in our laboratory. According to the histopathological report, the patient is advised about the further treatment.
At Diagnostic Centre Bled, the mentioned examination is performed on referral or as self-pay. More >>
