Essential Plus Preventive Health Evaluation - Diagnostični center Bled consists of the following tests and examinations:

Preliminary specialist internistic examination including medical history and status

A comprehensive internistic treatment involves the introductory specialist internist examination with a review of medical history and medical status.

Discussion with the interpretation of the results and a written opinion

Anthropometrical measurements on the basis of the body mass index and body composition analysis

Comprehensive laboratory tests

With the laboratory analysis we define the complete blood count, the functioning of the liver, kidneys, pancreas and thyroid, and evaluate the electrolyte balance, as well as the levels of iron, glucose and cholesterol in the blood.

BLOOD ANALYSIS: sample collection, haemogram with a differential blood count, sedimentation, hepatogram – liver condition indicators (AST, ALT, GGT, AF, bilirubin), electrolytes in blood (potassium, sodium, chlorine, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium), kidney condition indicators (urea, creatinine with eGFR, uric acid), pancreas tests (amylase, lipase), blood sugar – glucose, lipid profile – blood fats (cholesterols, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), CK, LDH, iron, ferritin, transferrin, TIBC, proteins, albumins, prothrombin time, INR, thyroid hormones – TSH, fT3, fT4, vitamin D, PSA (men).

URINE ANALYSIS: basic analysis and sediment.

Cardiological preventive examination with ECG

Spirometry

Measurement of lung volumes and pulmonary function assessment. The exam test helps to differentiate the symptoms of pulmonary and cardiac diseases.

Stress test on a treadmill or bicycle

It assesses the capacity of the cardiovascular system and determines heart function during exercise.

Ultrasound of the heart

Ultrasound of the heart identifies any changes in the valves, heart muscle thickening, chamber enlargement, etc.

Ultrasound of the cervical arteries

The examination allows us to assess the early signs of atherosclerosis (hardening) of blood vessels.

Ultrasound of the abdominal organs

Examination of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, large abdominal vessels, urinary tract, prostate and reproductive organs.

Ultrasound of soft cervical tissue (thyroid, lymph nodes, salivary glands)

Ultrasound of the testicles – scrotum (men)

Breast ultrasound (women)

A non-invasive ultrasound procedure used as a standalone screening tool or as an adjunct to mammography.

Specialist dermatological examination with examination of moles

Regular check-ups at a dermatology clinic are very important to prevent and reduce the occurrence of skin diseases and their early detection.

Urological preventive examination (men)

Prostate problems are often a cumbersome companion of men after the age of 40, regardless of whether the enlargement is benign or cancerous. With clinical examination, laboratory tests and a functional examination which measures the flow of urine, we can determine the right time for treatment.

Uroflow – urine flow measurement (men)

Gynaecological examination (women)

Obstetrics is one of the few areas of medicine where a very simple examination can detect precancerous cervical lesions and cervical cancer. It also reveals changes in the vagina, especially various infections, detects tumors of the uterus and ovaries, and observes various anatomical changes.

Ultrasound of the reproductive organs (women)

PAP test (women)

Oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy)

Gastroscopy is an endoscopic examination of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum.

The modern pace of life and eating habits also affect the functioning of the upper gastrointestinal tract and contribute to more frequent occurrence of gastritis, wounds on the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum, and increasingly also to the inflammation of oesophagus.

Parking

Where to park (Bled, Ljubljana, Novo mesto)?

In Bled, parking immediately in front of the Centre is generally not possible due to the small number of available parking spaces. As a result, patients are instead invited to use the public car parks throughout Bled. Parking fee is required there. If you have the opportunity, we advise you to ask a relative to drive you to the examination.

In case of a visit exceeding two hours, patients may take advantage of the car park offering unlimited parking for a single fee. The nearest car park offering unlimited parking based on a single fee is located by the cemetery or school in Seliška cesta (road). Parking fee is required.

In Ljubljana, parking is possible in the immediate vicinity of the Centre, namely inside the Kapitelj multi-storey parking garage with direct access to the Centre via the lift, making the car parking wheelchair accessible. Parking fee is required.

In Novo mesto, you can park in the parking garage of the building where our unit is located, namely on the 2nd floor, from where there is also a direct access to the premises.
