Appointments – Referral
Soon after the centre was established, a contract with the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia was concluded and concession was granted, and this is why most tests and examinations at our centre can be done with a referral. There are many options of how to make an appointment at the diagnostic centre Diagnostični center Bled.
How can you apply for an examination?
Pursuant to Act amending the Patient Rights Act (ZPacP) (OG RS, no. 55/2017 dated 6 October 2017), patients can send the confirmation about the issued electronic referral from their general practitioner (or another referring doctor) by mail. We kindly ask you to write down your phone number and e-mail address on the confirmation. You will then receive the date of your appointment and instructions for the examination or test to your home address.
- Bled: Diagnostični center Bled, Pod skalo 4, 4260 Bled
- Ljubljana: Diagnostični center Bled, enota Ljubljana, Barvarska steza 4, 1000 Ljubljana
- Novo mesto: Diagnostični center Bled, enota Novo mesto, Ljubljanska cesta 28, 8000 Novo mesto
An appointment can also be made via e-mail in which patients should include their patient number from the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia, the number of the e-referral (both numbers can be found on the confirmation about the issued e-referral) and their phone number.
Electronically with an e-refferal
Since electronic referrals came into use, an appointment for certain examinations can also be made on the portal https://narocanje.ezdrav.si/, where you simply enter your patient number from The Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia and the number of the e-referral, and then choose diagnostic centre Diagnostični center Bled or Medi Cons.
The patient can also deliver the confirmation about the issued e-referral in person during office hours to centre in Bled. In Ljubljana and in Novo mesto, the patient can leave the confirmation about the issued e-referral with contact information in the mailbox.
If your examination is by a referral, you should bring with you your health card and any existing medical records from your previous examinations on the day of your examination.
If you don’t have supplementary health insurance, you cover some of the costs yourself; you will pay 20% of the price of the examination. Please see detailed instructions in the section APPOINTMENTS – SELF PAY.
If you make an appointment using a referral, note that there is a waiting period for most examinations (a few days for some, a few weeks for others). By clicking WAITING TIMES you can check how long you will have to wait for an examination at a certain clinic.
The referring doctor decides the urgency of the examination. The degrees of urgency listed on the referral have changed with the new law as did the deadline until when the patient must submit the referral to a health facility. If this is not done in time, the referral is no longer valid.
