Hospitalization

The inpatient unit of Diagnostic Centre Bled is intended for short-term stays of patients during their preparation for examinations and after procedures.

The admission is arranged for the patients who are undergoing more complex examinations (e.g. ERCP) or procedures (removal of polyps, urinary tract stones removal …). Patients from more distant locations are also welcome to stay with us and during their short, one- or two-day hospitalization, they can undergo more examinations at the same time. The elderly and the cardiac patients are also advised to prepare for an examination, such as colonoscopy, under our supervision. In exceptional cases, by prior arrangement, we can also admit physically impaired patients, who have difficulty moving; however, our rooms are not adequately equipped for this type of patients.

When furnishing our rooms, we strived to avoid the normal hospital atmosphere as much as possible. Our patients are therefore offered a double hotel-type ensuite rooms with a balcony, TV, telephone and fridge. As a rule, patients stay in double rooms (two beds).

The patients in the inpatient unit are at all times under the supervision of a nurse and a doctor on duty who can act in the event of problems, and can order appropriate treatment or, more rarely, a transfer to an appropriate hospital when a complication requires intensive diagnosis or therapy.
