After finishing her studies at the Medical Faculty in Ljubljana, she decided to specialise in internal medicine at Novo mesto General Hospital. Throughout her specialisation, she focused on gastroenterology and received more in-depth education in this field. In 2015, she passed the specialist exam with honours.
In 2018, she took over the management of the Department of Gastroenterology and became acting head of the Centre for Endoscopy of Novo mesto General Hospital.
She has worked at Diagnostični center Bled since 2020. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). In the specialist clinic, she mostly deals with patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease. She is aware that the patient must be well educated about his/her disease, so she likes to collaborate with various patient associations (Society of patients with coeliac disease, Society for Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Disease). She also participates as an endoscopist in the SVIT prevention programme intended for the prevention and early detection of precancerous changes and cancer of the colon and rectum.
