For an accurate diagnosis during an orthopaedicexamination, often an X-ray is required. An examination by an orthopaedist is advisable if you have troubles with the loco motor system; pain, restricted mobility or unstable joints and spine.

For a better insight into your problems and any pre-treatments, please, bring along your entire existing medical documentation, including any imaging material (radiography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, etc.).

After the interview with the orthopaedistwho will review the X-rays you brought, or order new X-rays to be taken at the Centre, you will be thoroughly examined by the doctor. At the end of the session, the doctor will explain the cause of your troubles and advises about suitable medication therapy, physical therapy or a surgery; the latter needs to be arranged at another healthcare institution.

With tendonitis or calcinations in the tendons, especially in the shoulder, there is a new ultrasonic treatment available at DC Bled, which is called extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT).

In the context of preventive specialist orthopaedic examination orthopaedist review joint flexibility, posture, and you, depending on the work you are doing, advises recreational activities, the difficulty to move, it is recommended diagnostic and treatment and discourages certain adverse physical load. We also offer preventive orthopaedic examinations which include examination of the joint mobility and posture. According to the nature of your work you will be advised the most appropriate form of recreation. If you already have any troubles, you will be suggested the proper diagnostically evaluation and treatment. You will also get information about the unfavourable physical strain.
