The prostate is the male sex gland that lies under the bladder and surrounds part of the urethra. Its job is to produce the fluid that carries the sperm. A healthy prostate is smooth to the touch, elastic, painless, and the size of a walnut. But it tends to become enlarged over the years, often causing various problems.

Do you often wake up at night because you need to go to the toilet? Do you notice that your urine stream is weak? Are you feeling tired and unable to urinate? Timely and regular urological preventive examinations for men are just as important as gynaecological examinations for women. As there are no urinary tract check-ups in Slovenia, it is up to you to take action. Even if you don’t have any problems with urination, don’t delay in getting a prostate check-up, as early detection can increase the chances of successful treatment.
